Yesterday (Jan. 25th), First Year Rang Dóchas attended a creative writing workshop in Fighting Words, accompanied by their English teacher Mr. O'Hara and Ms. Byrne.
While there, the students voted to do the creative writing drama workshop - which is a relatively new workshop that Fighting Words have introduced. The workshop involved them splitting into groups and creating short plays that they then performed in their groups! Great fun was had by all!
Fighting Words provides free programmes and mentoring in creative writing and related arts to school children and its an invaluable resource that helps teenagers access their creative side in a fun and engaging way! Our students would certainly agree!
